The First Christian Prayer of the Day

Hosea 14,3a

Lord, open my lips.
And my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
Psalm 51,17

For it will not be you who speak
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Matthew 10,20

Each day’s first official prayers of the Church are “The Invitatory”:

Dominicans also do the same at the beginning of praying the rosary.
